Im writing to complain and i really do not expect a reply of any action. I has been over a year with a case i has with 
augen over a gentouch. I have since given up and even deleted all my emails well attempted email to your company.
The last one said they were going to send me my new machine or something of equal value within 45 days that was 
6 months ago hehehehee. Augen is a big joke and there is not a day that goes by that i make sure and tell someone new what augen has done to me. I found this email on the internet and i doubt it will get through but if it does #1 nothing against you personally but Augen SUCKS and im sure you could find someone better to work for.

		<description>I am constantly amazed by consumers who get the deal of a lifetime on a product and then have the audacity to complain that the item does not have the support and repair services that are exactly like another OEM&#039;s product costing hundreds of dollars more. A comment like &quot;AUGEN SUCKS&quot; has nothing to offer when assessing a product but, does speak volumes when assessing the validity of the responder who posted it. Anyone with a thimble full of ambition can search the web and find clear reasons for Augen&#039;s situation and the issues that caused it. Plus, the lack of technical support is minimised by information and fixes posted on at least one if not more of the numerous e-book users forums. Of course, be aware that these are open forums with no shortage of those who believe that &quot;AUGEN SUCKS&quot; constitutes a trust worthy opinion. Accurate information is out there if one spends the time to find it. 

Together, my wife and I both have our own AUGEN  TheBook E-Readers and I also have an AUGEN GenBOOK 7.4. Complaints? ZERO and all three were purchased after AUGEN had shut down so we have never known the luxury of Augen technical support. We knew up front that we were buying orphaned equipment and approached the units accordingly and are very happy with them. 

Having spent 30 years in engineering design and support for a  machinery manufacturer I fully understand Augen&#039;s situation. It is a risk faced by any company that attempts to bring a quality product to consumers  at realistic prices in a market dominated by big name OEM&#039;s who sell at greatly inflated prices. The Big Names want nothing more than to attract those who want the status of owning their currently prestigious item and willing to be overcharged to get it.  

Sadly the proliferation of PCs and other forms of digital information devices has been fueled by an entire generation whose skills only support Point &amp; Click / Plug and Play operation. If they would spend the time to understand the equipment they purchase with the same dedication that is commonly allowed for online social networking their problems would quickly disappear. The rewards for the efforts are many. 

I applaud AUGEN&#039;s efforts and having not yet seen an indication of AUGEN&#039;s ultimate demise, I sincerely hope the issues can be resolved and their products will be once again available.
  
To those who find my comments insulting, I apologize. However if you spend the time to understand these new devices, Augen&#039;s or otherwise, you will quickly see what you perceived as insults were purely constructive in nature.
